4th & 5th Saturday and sometimes Friday monthly Dance-&-Learn Parties
are the PERFECT! way to celebrate Birthdays, Anniversaries
and other Special Events.
ADMISSION: $12.00 per person for any and all parts of the event (including mini-classes, refreshments, performance and PRACTICE AND DANCING in any one or all dance styles of both studios) plus $10.00 for full-time students. $2.00 discount for those who RSVP by sending the email addresses of each of those attending to TerryChasteen@Yahoo.com. Each will then receive a return admission email copy to present at the door (you must bring the returned RSVP email copy to qualify for any discounts so we know how much food, etc is needed in advance. It will also prevent taking time going through lists at the door to find names of people that aren't in alphabetical order to determine who has and has not RSVP'd).
All "So You Think You Can Dance DC", "Dancing with the DC Stars" and "Dancing With The AC/DC Stars" mini-dance competitions are open to everyone, so get yourself a partner and start preparing now or come and find one at the party! Winners will be chosen by audience applause, so bring your loudest and most obnoxious friends and family members to cheer for you! We will fit in as many contests as possible within the time available. The Tango classes will begin by 9:00pm to accomodate those who may come just for the scheduled Argentine Tango milonga at 9:30pmm.
8:45pm A fun, high-energy class in the Brazilian "Axe" taught by Danielle
Areco of Sao Paulo and possibly a Brazilian Samba performance in costume if
enough "Sambista's" RSVP in advance to attend.
9:00pm-9:30pm Beginner & beginner+ Argentine Tango mini-classes in studio "B" while those in studio "A" keep dancing to their favorite, Ballroom, Salsa & Rueda, Latin, Swing, Brazilian and Country/Western mix until 11:30pm.
9:30pm-11:30pm Argentine Tango milonga for all levels. Also including an Argentine Tango performance if enough RSVP before the event.
Expect to enjoy more incredible dance music, have more fun, see more entertaining performances, enter more mini-dance contests and learn more dances in one night to your favorite Ballroom, Latin, Swing, C/W and Hustle dance tunes than you ever thought possible! PLUS it's all for a great cause. If you saw that great photo in The Weshington Blade last week of Cheryl with the great big smile that we're all so used to seeing, help to make that smile permanent once again by collecting and making as many donations as possible both during the crucial upcoming months.
Admission: $12.00 per person. Any additional donations collected or offered will be greatly appreciated, 100% of which will be donated to Cheryl Spector for those bringing a fundraiser notice. If paying cash, please be especially sure to turn in a "Fundraiser notice" from any LGBT web site or email so that the funds taken in at the door can be correctly earmarked to the Cheryl Spector fund.
Thanks again and we hope to see you Out On The Dance Floor!!
